River Grove
Elementary
School spirit takes shape in acoustic wall treatments, from the gymnasium to the halls.
Lake Oswego, Oregon
The project
A new school.
A familiar face.
River Grove Elementary’s rebuild brings learning, sustainability, and school identity together. Working with local representative Rain Shadow Specialties, G&S Acoustics supplied acoustic treatments throughout the school.
Custom raccoon designs make the school mascot part of the architecture, while additional wall panels carry acoustic treatment into other spaces.
At a glance
Gymnasium
School spirit.
Built into the wall.
Custom-cut Melody mScores panels bring the River Grove Raccoon to the gymnasium walls, combining a distinctive mascot design with sound absorption.
School halls
A mascot.
A recurring motif.
aCapella Scores Gami panels continue the raccoon theme through the halls. Both aCapella and Melody use recycled PET polyester, connecting the custom designs to the project’s sustainability focus.
Additional spaces
Acoustic surfaces.
Everyday possibilities.
AP and tackable wall panels extend the acoustic approach to other school spaces. Tackable surfaces also provide places to display student projects and classroom materials.
